2024-2025 Volunteer Opportunities for COASAC-Congregation Or Ami Social Action Committee:
The Norristown Hospitality Center is the only day shelter in Norristown. The volunteers of COASAC have been serving lunches there for many years. The Norristown Hospitality Center provides a comfortable place for so many people who are hungry or need a place to sit. We ask that everyone participating in the lunch please sign up for something. We will send a food sign-up to all signed-up volunteers a few weeks before the lunch date. Norristown Hospitality Center-530 Church St #1, Norristown, PA 19401
Mitzvah Circle: 435 Doylestown Road, Lansdale, PA 19446
The Mitzvah Circle is a great place that provides clothing, other items and toiletries for people in need. First-time volunteers will be given a tour, and the staff will explain how we shop around the warehouse to fulfill the needs of different families.
Mitzvah Circle was created to fill the gaps and provide items not covered by government assistance. Clothing, toothpaste, diapers, and deodorant are items that people need every single day, but not all can afford to buy. We are here so parents can go to work and kids can go to school or daycare.
Mitzvah Circle is the only organization in our area that meets the material needs of entire families by providing immediate relief and a chance for families to get back on their feet. We serve people without barriers or bureaucracy, filling a vast, unmet need, providing swift delivery of goods, personalized by individual needs because we know one size doesn’t fit all." We have limited dates to sign up for because the Mitzvah Circle is moving locations from Audubon to Lansdale.
