Confirmation Program (Grade 10)

Confirmation students attend Tuesday evening classes from 7:00-9:00 pm three Tuesdays a month, and also take a weekend trip to the URJ Religious Action Center in Washington, D.C. for the L’taken Seminar program (http://rac.org/confprog/ltaken/).  Confirmation is celebrated by the Congregation Or Ami community on the evening of Shavuot each year–the festival that celebrates the receiving of the Torah.  This ceremony affirms our young members’ acceptance of Torah, once again, for themselves and in their generation.

Post-Confirmation Program

Once a month, Rabbi Carr offers an optional gathering for 11th and 12th grade students.  The class is informal, discussion-based, and will allow students to select the topics that they are most interested in exploring.  Please call the main synagogue office for more information about these classes (610-828-9066) or contact Rabbi Carr directly at Rabbi.Carr@or-ami.org.
